Opacity

Opacity allows you to adjust the window transparency easily using the toolbar slider or hotkey.
It also comes with these additional functions: Opacity toolbar in WindowTop showing transparency slider at 75% with options to enable click-through and disable it when the mouse is above the window. More about it later.

Hotkey

  • To enable opacity mode (Opacity button in WindowTop toolbar) the default hotkey is ALT + A

How to change the default hotkey (ALT + A)

To change it, go to Tray icon (WindowTop tray icon) –> Settings –> All Settings –> Opacity tab.

Functions

The opacity also comes with additional functions: Opacity toolbar in WindowTop showing transparency slider at 75% with options to enable click-through and disable it when the mouse is above the window

Enable click-through (WindowTop opacity toolbar with transparency set to 75%, and the 'Enable click through' option enabled)

When enabled, the window will become non-interactable – any mouse/keyboard inputs will pass through to the underlying window below.

Hotkeys for click-through:

  • To enable Enable click through option via hotkey, you must configure it under the [Advanced hotkey settings].
The action is:Hotkey setting for enabling click-through mode in the WindowTop opacity feature
  • You can also configure hotkeys for these actions:
WindowTop settings showing two hotkey options: one to enable Click-Through mode for all windows with opacity enabled, and one to disable Click-Through mode for all windows. Both hotkeys are currently set to 'None'

Disable when the mouse is above the window (WindowTop opacity toolbar with transparency set to 75%, and the 'Disable when the mouse is above the window' option enabled and highlighted)

When enabled, the opacity will be temporarily disabled when the mouse is above the window

Behavior with 'Disable when the mouse is above the window' option unchecked (default) - window remains transparent even when the mouse is hovering over it
Option 'Disable when the mouse is above the window' is unchecked (*Default)
Behavior with 'Disable when the mouse is above the window' option checked—window opacity is temporarily disabled while the mouse is hovering over it and restored once the mouse moves away
Option 'Disable when the mouse is above the window' is checked

You can enable this option by default via the Tray icon (WindowTop tray icon) –> Settings –> All Settings –> Opacity tab.
See the demonstration above (under Changing the default opacity level)
